Dafne Quartet

This ensemble was born within the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice, in which its members play. In the belief that chamber music, particularly the string quartet, is one of the highest forms of artistic expression, the group aims to bring together the experience gained individually in different orchestras and ensembles on the national scene. The quartet has held numerous concerts in the Veneto region and will participate in several concert seasons in Switzerland and Italy in the forthcoming Spring.

Samuel Angeletti Ciaramicoli

Born in Mestre in 1974, he studied violin with Giuseppe Volpato and graduated with full marks in 1996. He has collaborated with several orchestras in Italy: Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala, the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice as leader, and as both leader and member of the second violins. In 2007 he won the competition for leader of the second violins of the La Fenice Orchestra, a role he has held since September of the same year. He has also been highly active in the field of chamber music, with a repertoire ranging from the baroque to the romantic.

Federica Barbali

Born in Milan, she graduated in violin from the Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Parma, studying under Pisani. She furthered her studies with Jokanovich, De Angelis and Fabris. After winning several youth solo competitions, she attended the chamber and orchestra courses of the Italian Youth Orchestra. From 1996 to 2015 she played with the orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa, and since 2015 she has been a permanent member of the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.

Paolo Pasoli

He graduated with honours in viola in 1994 under Lenzi and subsequently went on to study with Merlini, Rossi and Mendelssohn. He attended various masterclasses in chamber and orchestral music, including those of the Italian Youth Orchestra and the European Youth Orchestra. Having qualified for numerous orchestras, he won the competition for viola at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in 1995 and the competition for second viola at Teatro La Fenice in Venice in 1997. He has collaborated as first viola at La Fenice and other prestigious musical institutions.

Antonino Puliafito

He graduated in cello at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin and then continued his studies attending master classes with Filippini, Dindo and Bronzi. He has collaborated with important Italian and foreign orchestras sometimes as leader of the cello section. He has been a member of the Operacento Trio since 2008. In April 2005, after winning a competition, he became a permanent member of the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
